Potluck and Movie Night

Join us for our monthly potluck followed by the foreign film, Letters to Father Jacob (2009). Feel free to attend either the potluck or film or both activities.

Setup for the potluck starts at 5:45 pm, the potluck starts at 6 pm. The movie starts at 7 pm.

We do ask for a $5 minimum donation to help support this monthly event, in addition to your potluck contribution if you attend the potluck.

The movie:

This movie tells the story of Leila, a pardoned convict, who becomes an assistant to a blind priest, Jacob. The picture depicts her transformation from a skeptic who grudgingly reads letters aloud to her benefactor, into a caring friend who helps the pastor out of his despair after the letters stop coming. In Finnish with English subtitles.
